We will see the Kakheti Alazani Valley with its vineyards, Mount Kazbek, and old Tbilisi alleys, all captured through the lens of the world famous modern documentary photographer Steve McCurry.
You also will get an opportunity to learn the art of reportage photography. McCurry’s photos have been on magazine and book covers for decades now. His exhibitions present proofs of vanishing civilisations, the daily life of various countries, exotic traditions, and arts and crafts.

Workshop details
Six days full of conversations, learning, and photo shooting in collaboration with inspiring people
During this inspirational week, one of the most ancient countries will reveal its secrets through iconic locations and some hidden gems. Capture significant moments during the workshop showing the technique of street portraits, and learn how to shoot architecture, food and landscape and eventually find ways to tell visual stories through the images.
Georgia is a blessed and ancient land hidden in the mountains between the Black and Caspian seas; a country of friendly and hospitable people, simple and delicious food, rich history, and artefacts standing strong in memory of the Persians and Argonauts. You will immerse yourself in the spirit of ancient churches, monasteries, and traditional courtyards with carved verandas hidden in a labyrinth of narrow winding streets.
Every workshop participant will get immediate feedback about their photography techniques, potential and capacity to interpret the scene, and how they use different photo optics following the final idea.
During the street photo session workshop, you will learn how to:
Make the most of your camera
Correctly approach strangers
Understand your camera’s light meter
Time your shots perfectly
Storytelling, or how to tell a story in a photograph
Work & react quickly
Find the right scene and subject
Autofocus/zone/scale focusing
