Together with art historian and curator Denis Maksimov, we will embark on a journey to the heart of the Japanese civilization, exploring Shinto philosophy and the unique aesthetic sense of the Land of the Rising Sun. We’ll study the samurai legacy, trace the transformations of the Meiji era, visit leading contemporary art museums, and explore key cultural landmarks. And, of course, we won’t miss the most spectacular pavilions at Expo 2025 in Osaka!

Denis Maksimov is a historian of ideas and an art curator. He has curated projects at the Venice Biennale of Art and Architecture, the São Paulo Biennale, the Glyptotek in Copenhagen, the Helsinki Art Museum, and many other venues.
